Rassada Pisek Bridge is another important landmark of Lampang. It contains a bunch of history.

The Rassada Pisek Bridge, also known as ‘The White Bridge’, is located over Wang River. To drive across the river, you must go along this bridge.

It’s believed to be built by Naranantachaichawalit, a ruler of Lampang, and many villagers, in order to celebrate the 25th anniversary of King Rama Vl’s enthronement.

There are many stories about this bridge. Do you believe that it has even gone through World War 1 and World War 2. During those days, the bridge was painted to trick the enemies that it isn’t used in any strategic way. That’s why it wasn’t destroyed by bomb balls.

As time went by, the wars ended. The bridge was renovated in the year 1917. It was turned into a concrete-steel bridge instead of wood. It now appears in beautiful white color, with the symbols of white chickens and garudas.
