The half-day program includes an introductory lesson on elephant behavior, history, and conservation, and visitors can touch, feed, photograph, and interact with the elephants. The program also includes a mud spa and a bath in a nearby river with the elephants before concluding with some snacks and fresh fruit and a drive back to Chiang Mai. The full-day program includes all the activities of the half-day program and offers an opportunity to spend more quality time with the elephants. Visitors will enjoy a traditional Thai lunch and participate in a therapeutic mud spa.

Itinerary

06:30 – 07:00 AM: Pick up from your hotel or accommodation
07:00 AM: Drive approximately 1.5 hours South of Chiang Mai through rolling hills, forest, and local farming areas.
08:30 AM: Arrive at the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary. Learn about the elephants and change into traditional Karen clothing.
09:00 AM: Meet the elephants. Feed, interact, and play with the elephants in a natural environment as you learn about their behavior and history. Take photos with the elephants.
09:45 AM: Mud Spa with the elephants 10:30 AM: Walk with the elephants to a river and bathe them.
11:30 AM: Eat a traditional meal and then say goodbye to the elephants.
12:00 PM: Leave the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary and drive approximately
1.5 hours to Chiang Mai. 01:30 PM: Drop off at your hotel or accommodation.

Itinerary

08:00-08:30 AM: Pick up from your hotel or accommodation
08:30 AM: Drive approximately 1.5 hours South of Chiang Mai through rolling hills, forest, and local farming areas.
10:30 AM: Arrive at the Sanctuary. Meet your guide and walk for 10-15 minutes through the Jungle to the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary. Change into traditional Karen clothing. Enjoy an introductory lesson about elephant anatomy, history, and behavior.
11:00 AM: Meet the elephants. Feed, interact, and play with the elephants in a natural environment as you learn about their behavior and history. Take photos with the elephants.
12:00 PM: Enjoy a lunch of traditional Thai food and fresh fruit.
01:00 PM: Learn how to make herbal medicine balls, feed the Elephants and then walk with the elephants to the river. Bathe and brush the elephants.
02:00 PM: Join the elephants for a therapeutic mud spa. Swim in the river and take photos with the elephants.
03:00 PM: Change clothes and say good bye to the elephants
03:15 PM: Drive a short distance from the Sanctuary to engage in a unique cultural handicrafts experience.
03:30 PM: Depart from Elephant Jungle Sanctuary and drive approximately 1.5 hours to Chiang Mai.
05:00-05:30 PM: Drop off at your hotel or accommodation.
