Chinese Yunnan village include hill tribe people, immigrants from Yunnan and 48 are formal nationalist Chinese solders. The villagers built this culture center to attract tourists.
Chinese Yunnan village is a village called Santichon Village. This is not your typical Chinatown you see around the world but one of three Chinese villages situated in northern Thailand populated by Yunnan tribes people.
At Chinese Yunnan village, you can see a huge rock and a dragon creeping up a pole at the center of the field. Around the field, there are many souvenir shops, Yunnan Chinese restaurants, and clay houses. Tourists can try original Yunnan Chinese food and experience the Yunnan way of life.

Popular authentic Chinese Dishes in Chinese Yunnan cultural village is Moo Pang Pee (Braised pork with preserved mustard greens), Besides Baba (Yunnanese’s snack). The restaurants are made from straw and mud. Very unique architecture. The restaurant reminds you of another Chinese tea-house in the periodic movie.
How to get there : The Chinese Yunnan village located in outside of Pai, about 4.5 kilometers. From the walking street area, take the hospital road and follow it until you reach the Bypass Road.

Mor Paeng waterfall is the closest waterfall from Pai center and the most populated one too. It usually ends up a bike ride (challenging if you do not have a mountain bike with gears) or a scooter ride including Wat Nam Hoo, the Chinese village and Lisu village. There are a few pools where you can swim and even a portion that the bravest use as a slide ramp.
