Khum Vongburi was built hundreds years ago, based on the idea of Lady Bua, the wife of Piriyathepwong, the last ruler of Phrae. She wanted to provide it as a wedding gift of Lady Sunanda and Prince Phongpibul.

The house looks relaxing with its color. There are carvings all over it. There are two levels. You and your friends are allowed to get inside to see what’s in there.

How to get there

The museum is in the heart of Phrae, on Kham Lue Road. Follow the same road that leads you to Wat Pong Sunan. The temple is near the museum.

The temple is less than 1 kilometre away from the museum. This is a temple where you can admire and pay respect to a lied-down Lord Buddha statue and see many other stunnin architectures.

This is another traditional place to check-in. It’s a kind of museum. It’s made of teakwood and consists of hundreds poles and each pole is over 300 years old. You will see many antiques there. Just go. It’s about 1.31 kilometre away from Vongburi.
