Murals are the highlight of the temple. They aren’t just beautiful and stunning, but they can also tell stories of the temple. For an example, there are some murals showing steamboats and foreign soldiers. Therefore, it can be interpreted that the murals and the temple emerged during King Rama 4 or King Rama 5 period. because the history says that steamboats came into Thailand since Kign Rama 4 period.

The murals are inside the vihara. Take your kids to see them. Even your kids may not understand all parts of the history, but at least they will see how gorgeous traditional artworks are. And that will stimulate their imagination and thinking procedure.

It’s amazing because in the past, there weren’t hi-tech tools to create artworks easily like nowadays. But people were still able to impress us with neat painting and drawing full of details: lines, colors, patterns etc. It’s rare to find an artist who can create an artwork with all these details nowadays.
