Take a day trip to the Mae Taeng area’s rich and dense jungle for a calm diversion from Chiang Mai’s bustling. As you trek through the green jungle, you may see and interact with these strong, gorgeous creatures as they play in the mud, graze within the vegetation, and interact with one another. Stop along the journey to gather wild plants and herbs from the jungle to make delectable treats to feed the elephants. The elephants will let you bathe them and play with them in the river at the end of the day.
Next, prepare to get wet on an adrenaline-pumping section peppered with class III and IV rapids, some of the greatest whitewater in Thailand. Finally, chill and enjoy the surroundings during a peaceful period before the 10-km journey is finished with an adrenaline track of nearly continuous rapids.
