‘Ban Sao Roi Ton’ is in Thai language. In English, it means ‘a house with hundreds of poles’. Yes. This name didn’t come from nowhere, but the house does really have hundreds wooden poles. Each pole is over 300 year old! That’s astonishing.

Ban Sao Roi Ton or Ban Pratap Jai house was established in 1976 by Father Kijja, who wanted to have a teakwood house of his own. He bought 9 old house and combined them into one, as you should see.

Just wander around the house. You can even get inside. Inside the house, you will see many antiques and house decoration items made of teakwood. Teakwood is very rare, beautiful, and expensive. So, don’t take your eyes off them.

There are teakwood furnitures for you too see both on the first floor and the second floor. Just go. You don’t see something like these everyday.

The admission fee is absolutely affordable. It consts 15 Baht for a Thai tourist, but 20 Baht for a foreign tourist.

Just keep going along the Highway No.1023. The house is at 59, Area 12, Pa Maed District, Muang County of Phrae Province.
