Visiting a national park like ‘Mae Wa National Park’ will make you feel happy.
Mae Wa National Park is a national park in Lampang. It’s about 582.68 square kilometres large. The landscape mostly consists of mountains and forests, of course. Doi Pha Gee is the highest point, about 1,027 metres higher than the sea level. Anyway, the national park is the origin of many main streams, for examples, Huai Mae Wa, Huai Mae Salaem, Huai Mae Salid etc.
There are many animals and forest zones there. For forest, there are, for examples, mixed forests, tropical rain forests, pine forests etc. For animals, there are tigers, deers, wild rabbits, birds, owls, fishes etc.
The weather at the park is monsoon tropical. To get there, you may want to avoid travelling during May to September, as it’s the rainy season and you won’t want to take a risk of yourself getting wet. Instead, you should travel during October to February, which is the cold season, or during February to May, which is the summer.
There are many ways for you to relax yourself there. First, you will want to feel the cool drizzle of the 9-leveled Mae Wa Waterfall and have a picnic on the shore. Next, you shuld have a sightseeing at the office of the park and Nam Fha Pha Ngam Cave. Beside, you can never miss exploring Phra Chedi Cave.

How to get there
Mae Wa national park is located in Mae Wa District, Thoen County, Lampang Province. You can get there by keep going along the Highway No.1. When you reach at about the 4499th kilometre, you will see the severed path that leads you to Mae Wa Wittaya School. Just get into the path and continue straight for about 10 kilometres.
