Nan National Museum, registered as a museum by Fine Arst Department in 1974, gathers a series of rare antiques, for examples, Lord Buddha statues, utensils, The Black Ivory, music instruments etc. Beside, there are texts, pictures, and figures that help you to learn how ethnic people in Nan have lived their lives.

Nan national museum is open from 9:00-16:00. It’s closed on Monday and Tuesday.
How to get there
Nan National museum is located in the heart of Nan. The best way to get there is to follow the Highway 101. Turn left before you reach the heart of Nan and then you will be lead to the museum.
Neaby Places
This is one of the mose closest tourist attractions of Nan National Museum. The temple is well-known for its only ‘Chaduramuk’ shape. There aren’t other temples in Thailand with this type of shape. With the shape, temple looks like it’s standing on two Nagas.
If you thing visiting the museum isn’t old enough for you, then travel a little bit further. Let’s stop at Hong Chao Fong Kham, an over-200-year-old house. It’s also known as The Noble House. It’s decorated in Lanna-Thai style. You are allow to get inside the house to see the rooms. Beside of admiring the house, you will see fabric weaving demonstration too.
