Driving a car for fun along a relaxing road is not a bad idea for your holiday. The ‘Old Rubber Tree Road’ or ‘The Old Chiang Mai-Lamphun Road’ is a road worthy of in-car sightseeing and mind relaxing.
The Old Rubber Tree Road is located between Chiang Mai and Lamphun, of course. It’s full of rubber trees. You will drive under their shades and that gives a relaxing feeling.
Built in the period of King Rama Vl, the road takes place from the base of Nawarat Bridge, Ping River, to Lamphun Province. Years after the establishment, the authority and villagers helped each other to grow rubber trees along the area of Chiangmai and got Siamese cassia for the area of Lamphun, Therefore, there are over 2,000 trees along this road.
At first, the Rubber Tree Road was quite small an inconvenient But as time went by, Thai governors renovated it, making it wider and more convenient for people and vehicle to pass by.
The Old Rubber Tree Road may not be a joyful place. It’s quite quiet and that’s worthy of someone who want to spend some private time to think about something, or want to escape from a busy life.
The Old Rubber Tree road is quite large now. Therefore, you don’t have to drive all the time. Instead, you can just park your car on a side of the road to take some photos, have a sightseeing, inhale sweet smell of the air.
