Pha Suea Waterfall ‘A natural tourist attraction that everyone must fall in love with’

Pha Sue Waterfall is located in Tham Pla Cave-Pha Suea Waterfall National Park, in Mhok Cham Pae District, Muang County, Mae Hong Son Province. It is at a medium size, about 10 metres high and 15 metres wide. There are total 6 levels of it. Most of these levels consist of granite. The waterfall itself is about 410 metres higher than the sea level.
The water originates from the Burmese Mae Sa Nga Waterfall. During rainy season, the water will spread itself all over the cliff, which makes it look like a kind of mat. The word ‘mat’ is ‘suea’ in Thai language. Therefore, you should now know where the name of the waterfall came from.

How to get there
To get to Pha Suea Waterfall, you may start your driving from the downtown of Mae Hong Son and use the same route as Pang Ung. Just try to head for Pai County. About 10 kilometres after leaving the downtown, you should turn left and continue all the way up. You should find the waterfall located before the Pang Tong Palace.

The temple is about 29 kilometres away from the waterfall. This temple was once named as Wat Plai Don. It has been very important and respectable place of the province for so long. You should give yourself a chance of getting there, pay respect to the pagoda and the Buddha statues for your own good fortune.
Just travel for about 27 minutes and you will reach it. This bridge is based on the strong faith of villagers, monks, and novices around there. The bridge is made of bamboo. It takes place across plantations of the villagers. Its natural and beautiful appearance represents ‘a great and successful wish’.
