Sai Ngam Natural hot spring is one of the best hot springs in Pai
If you like beautiful scenery, few tourists, natural and peaceful. Sai Ngam natural hot spring is the place for you.
At Sai Ngam natural hot spring, The water is nice and warm and clean. The surrounding area is also pleasent. Lovely place with red dragonflies buzzing over you, go there early in the morning, it wont be very crowded and you’ll have the place for your self.
Mueang Paeng hot spring
There are three hot springs in Pai District. The closer and more touristy one is Thai Pai hot spring. Because it close and easy to visit. The springs have an average temperature of 80°C. Steam from the springs permeates the site in the morning creating fascinating sights. The springs offer a number of bathtubs for visitors to bathe in, and it is also possible to bathe in the stream that runs through the site. The water from these springs is said to have strong therapeutic value. But fee is a bit expensive 300 THB for foreigners.
The second one, Sai Ngam natural hot spring is a little bit more hidden, less famous and therefore much less crowded (hence the name “secret hot springs”). They are located 15 km north of Pai (about a 30 minute drive) and only costs you 40 THB. But the temperature is not hot about 35-40 ˚c. warm.
Other hot spring is Mueang Paeng hot spring, It located 30kms South of Pai. Take Highway No.1095 Pai-Mae Malai route, then, turn right at km. 85-86 to take Highway No.1065. This is a big hot spring with average temperature of 95˚c. warm. Surrounded by mountains, a river boiling, clouds of smoke floating above and a big white rock spilling hot water into the river below. The water is so hot that you cannot swim straight in the water.
After you’re done soaking, drive another kilometer past the hot springs and you’ll enter a small village in a postcard perfect valley. The villagers grow corn, and the road takes you right through the farmlands and over a stream. Once you’re done exploring, turn around to head back to the main road.
Sai Nqam Natual Hot Spring Rules :
- Do not wash clothes, clean dishes in the hot spring.
- All alcohol is prohibited n and around the hot spring area.
- No Smoking in the hot spring area.
- No fighting or arguing in the grounds.
Disturbing the peace will result in an immediate fine of 5000 baht each person.
How to get to Sai Ngam Natural Hot Spring :
Once you get there you will have to park your car to the left, and then you can pay another 20 THB to enter the Sai Ngam hot springs.
