This is an another important national park of Mae Hong Son. Salawain National Park is a place that you won’t want to miss.

Salawin National Park is about 1,013 square kilometres large. It mainly consists of mountains. The landscape is about 200-1,027 metres higher than the medium sea level. There are many types of forests, for examples, mixed forest, semi-evergreen forest, pine-dipterocarp forest etc. Also, you can find some kinds of wild animals: bear, deer, bat, frog, fish, cat fish etc.

First, you won’t want to miss sailing along Salawin River. This river is about 2,800 kilometres long. That’s not ordinary. This river is in fact called ‘An international river’, as it originates from Himalayan Mountains and flows through various countries. How to get there

Salawin National Park takes place in Sob Moei County and Mae Sariang County in Mae Hong Son.

You should get yourself ready in Mae Sariang County first. Then use the Highway No.1194. Keep going for about 4 kilometres and you will find a junction where you can turn right for another 4 kilometres. Soon, you will arrive at the office of the national park.
