The Hidden Village is a new tourist attraction in Chiang Mai. It has just been opened for service since 4th April 2017. What is it anyway? Well, it’s somewhat like an amusement park, but there are some differences. General amusement parks always consist of exciting and challenging playthings. They are quite noisy too. But The Hidden Village is a peaceful place. The area was set up as a fantasy world of dinosour land and mysterious village. The atmosphere is natural. There aren’t any dangerous plaything at all. Instead, there are dinosour statues, trees, grass, wood, bamboo fences, and some other sorts of things like that. Both children and adults are able to go.

The Hidden Village is divided into two different zones, consisting of…

  1. The Statue Zone : You will see many animals statues in this zone. Feel free to take photos with them. But be careful, especially if you take your little children with you. Don’t let them climb, kick, or destroy the statues. Try to keep everything in order.
  2. The Dinosour Village : You will get surprised at the enormous dinosour They’re very realistic. It will make you feel like traveling back to the prehistoric time.

Some of the exhibitions are surrounded with ropes and poles. That means you can not get close to it. Don’t try to cross these ropes or jump across the poles. If you want to have fun, you should explore the whole place orderly. To be repeated, you must keep the area clean, safe, and flawless all the time.

Beside of these, there are also restaurant zone, playground, sheep house zone and pigmy horse zone. You can find something delicious to eat, don’t worry. And you can feed those two kinds of lovely animals too. Or you can let your children ride the pigmy horses.

Don’t worry about the admission fee. It costs only 100 Baht for a Thai tourist and 200 Baht for a foreign tourist. For children who are shorter than 100 cm , they can go in for free.

How to get there

Luckily, The Hidden Village is located in San Phee Sua District, Muang County, Chiang Mai Province. It’s usually more convenient to travel around withing Chiang Mai downtown.

The most convenient way to go is to hail a red truck  and tell the driver that you want to go to The Hidden Village. The destination is next the restaurant Chiang Mai Ruan Pae 2.
