If you visit between March and April, you’ll be treated to the spectacular sight of wild orchids in full bloom. The landscape transitions from evergreen forests to open ridges, offering glimpses of the surrounding valleys.
At the summit, a packed lunch awaits as you soak in the mesmerizing mountain scenery. The descent, which takes another 2.5 to 3 hours, leads through former farming areas and a wild orchid conservation zone, with a stop at a historical aircraft wreckage site. The trek concludes back at Ban Huay Hee, where visitors can explore the village, interact with the locals, and observe Karen weaving traditions before returning to Mae Hong Son Town.
